Update: The Capcom Showcase event is now officially underway, and you can watch the announcements alongside us below.

Although E3 may have been canceled this year, just about every major video game developer is still spending the month of June to announce and show off their latest projects.

The house of Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter and Mega Man is no exception with the Capcom Showcase officially scheduled to kick off today.

As was previously revealed, the Capcom Showcase will begin its live streamed event at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET and last for around 35 minutes in totality.

Obviously, the big draw for fighting game fans here would be more information or announcements regarding Street Fighter 6, but it's unknown if the highly-anticipated title will be making an appearance.

The official Street Fighter social media accounts put out a statement this past weekend stating that they were going to be a "bit more on the quiet side for a short while," so they could truly be done showing more about SF6 until maybe Evo 2022 — or maybe Capcom will give fans 1 final trailer to feast upon before going dark again.

The developers have already dropped multiple trailers, a Guile reveal and tons of match footage for Street Fighter 6 just over the past week and a half, so we can't exactly complain we've been starved for content regarding the game.

Capcom has at least confirmed that the showcase will include new information about Resident Evil 4, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Exoprimal and more.

The Capcom Showcase live stream will be handled officially on Capcom USA's YouTube and Twitch channels which you can watch alongside us below.
