We just got our second look at Street Fighter 6, and this time we got an absolute ton of new information.

In addition to seeing what appears to be a single player adventure mode, Capcom also shared footage of Chun-Li, a brand new character named Jamie, and early gameplay footage. Check it out for yourself below.

As the trailer begins, we see a Shenmue/open world aspect to this game, where you explore Metro City. The figure running about and performing Shoryukens is hooded, and might be of a "create a character" personalized nature.

While we do get some glimpses of Capcom familiars, such as Damnd/Thrasher from Final Fight, we get gameplay footage from four fighters: Ryu, Luke, Chun-Li, and Jamie.

During these glimpses of gameplay we observe Ryu wearing a cloak, somewhat similar to Sagat from Street Fighter 5. Jamie brings about his own style – based on drunken boxing – that incorporates breakdancing and chugging a ki-unleashing drink.

"Jamie is a peacekeeper from Chinatown who aspires to walk in the footsteps of Yun and Yang, the Twin Dragons. An expert dancer, Jamie places justice and friendship above all else, defending his town with martial arts," says Capcom's Andy Wong in a new PS Blog post.

Chun-Li looks a decent bit older than in Street Fighter 5, is dressed in updated attire, and seems to either be training or sparring with a pupil-type figure. This character is a younger girl with headphones, glasses, a skirt, and a hairstyle that's not unlike Chun's at all. Her model looks fairly fleshed out, meaning we could see her as a playable character eventually.

There are two stages shown as we watch Luke vs. Jamie and then Chun vs. Ryu, the former pair fighting in a Metro City alley and the latter at what looks to be a kind of Chinese monastery. Luke turns blue and parries four hits from Jamie at one point, and Ryu does a more stylish parry of Chun's flip kick before following up with Dragon Punch.

Ryu also does some kind of sway maneuver where he powers up and does a duck under (Dudley vibes) before seemingly cancelling it into a forward-moving normal, and then finally into a kind of Hadoken burst attack.

We again see the very colorful, paint splash art style that we caught back in the Street Fighter 6 reveal trailer. It's also worth pointing out, as you may have seen in the banner of this story, that the infamous SF6 logo has been updated.

Also, pay close attention to the "Battle Hub" screen at the very end, as we see a character named Kimberly on a screen with "New Challenger" text floating about her. She looks a bit like Ibuki from the little we get to see of her.

The PS Blog also shares information on Street Fighter's newest mechanic: The Drive System.

"Introducing, the Drive System, a gauge you’ll need to manage wisely and one that is ripe with creativity. You can utilize the Drive Gauge to perform five different techniques that can easily enhance your offense or defense.

"A Drive Impact is a powerful strike that can absorb an opponent’s incoming attack and can lead to a wall splat. Use Drive Parry to repel your opponent’s attack and refill your Drive Gauge. Cancel out of a Drive Parry or normal attack into a Drive Rush to quickly close in on your opponent. Overdrive Arts are similar to EX Moves from past games that power up your Special Moves. Use Drive Reversal to perform a counterattack to get you out of tight situations. One gauge, five techniques, unlimited possibilities."

Capcom offers us an official description: Experience a brand new era of Street Fighter with a system built for creativity, vibrant art direction, and new modes that will re-imagine the fighting game genre.

Street Fighter 6 is headed to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam in 2023.
