Lab Coat Android 21 can literally nerf the opponent's damage while permanently buffing her own in Dragon Ball FighterZ

We've been getting an extensive taste of Lab Coat Android 21 during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022 as the developers for Dragon Ball FighterZ have been allowing players to use the character before she gets released. The Lab Coat Android 21 character breakdown provided us with key details on how the character actually functions during gameplay.

As it is typical for a DLC character in Dragon Ball FighterZ, this fighter is armed with some extremely unique mechanics. Though her command grab super only costs 1 full bar of meter, it's probably one of the most demoralizing supers in the entire game.

First off, Lab Coat's command grab super is an unblockable that starts up in 21 frames. This works extremely well with the character's emphasis on low attacks that prevent opponents from jumping out during pressure.

In reference to the character's identity, this attack will deal 2,121 damage upon grabbing the opponent. Being that every character has 10,000 life, this effectively removes 21.21% of a character's health bar instantly.

However, the thing that's really scary about this super is how it's apparently able to just straight up nerf the victim. Once the enemy is stuck by this unblockable, they'll suffer a 21% damage penalty.

The thing that's really scary about this technique is that the damage penalty is permanent. Considering how important damage is in Dragon Ball FighterZ, this will force the opponent to work substantially harder for their wins against Lab Coat Android 21.

As an added benefit, Lab Coat Android 21 will receive a permanent 21% damage increase to her specials upon landing this. Check out the breakdown on how this all works in the clip below:
