After months of thinking Dragon Ball FighterZ was finished with new content, Bandai Namco caught most everyone by surprise with the announcement of Lab Coat Android 21, and now we know when we'll actually get to go hands on with her.

To close out their portion of the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022, the publisher finally revealed the release date for the upcoming DLC fighter for DBFZ.

Lab Coat Android 21 is scheduled to release next Thursday, February 24, 2022, across all platforms although no pricing information has been revealed as of yet for the new DLC.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Producer Tomoko Hiroki also briefly took to the stage again to share some extra details about Lab Coat 21's gameplay.

According to the producer, Lab Coat 21 is a strong all-rounder fighter with tools that let her battle effectively on the ground and air as well as cover great distance, open players up with her command grabs and play defensively with her barrier.

Unfortunately, however, Hiroki doesn't give any new information as to whether this new DLC fighter will be part of a new season pass or if there's anymore DLC planned at all after her release.

She does state though that Bandai Namco is currently considering to host a "variety of events" inside and outside of the game to try and keep players entertained.

Our first chance to see what the humanoid version of 21 can do came during this team tournament itself with a more detailed breakdown taking place earlier today, which revealed she has a command grab Super that nerfs her opponent's damage output while buffing her own.
