4K best of Ryu footage from the Street Fighter 6 2nd closed beta test
We've captured a bunch of footage from the Street Fighter 6 2nd closed beta test of some of the best players who participated through the weekend. In today's video we're showcasing Ryu, but we'll be going through all 8 characters who were available in the 2nd beta.
This footage is of actual matches played in the second beta, as such, you can find combos, spacing, setups and a number of other tactics to help you get a leg up on the competition, before Street Fighter 6 is officially released on June 2, 2023.
The competitors featured playing Ryu were near the top of the leaderboards on the Street Fighter 6 CFN rankings before the 2nd closed beta ended. Many of the players featured in this series of videos are very well known competitors in the fighting game community — specifically for their abilities and grit to place in fighting game tournaments through the years.
All footage is showcased at 4K resolution and was captured by a GeForce RTX 4090 with max graphical settings enabled, running at 60 frames per second.
Not only will you see a number of core bread and butter combos showcased by the Ryu players, but you'll also see where and how to apply them during actual matches.
This is probably the most complete version of Ryu we've ever seen in the initial release for a game, as he's equipped with not only his Donkey Kick (Jodan Sokutou Geri), but also has a brand new move in SF6 with the Hashogeki, which allows him to charge up his fireballs.
Ryu looks like he's going to be a formidable force in the initial release of Street Fighter 6, as he's commonly put near the top of the tier lists we've seen come out so far from EventHubs, and he's traditionally one of the better characters in the game when a new Street Fighter title is first released.
