Tekken 7 player Syn showed up to major tournament wielding Cloud Strife's Buster Sword as his arcade stick
Well that's certainly a way to make sure there's space around you
In the art of combat, selecting the correct weapon for battle can make all the difference, and that applies to fighting games too it seems.
Tekken 7 player VLP|Syn recently attended the major VSFighting X event this past weekend wielding Cloud Strife's Buster Sword from Final Fantasy 7 as his arcade stick.
As can be seen in a video shot by Nwanzo, the controller is very much functional, and Syn is able to score a perfect round on his opponent with Ganryu.

The unique choice input is a whopping 5-feet long and weighs in at 50 pounds, which isn't surprising considering it's made out of steel, according to Kotaku.
If the sword looks familiar, that's probably because, funnily enough, this also appears to be the exact same arcade stick / model we previously covered almost 2 years ago as a custom controller created by the talented Fightstick Guy.

Although he didn't quite make it onto the big stage to properly show off the prized possession, Syn ended up finishing 49th in Tekken our of nearly 380 players.
I would probably do a lot of things to get my hands on that Buster Sword, but I don't envy the guy having to carry that stick around all day and night at events.
