We now know the precise date Tekken's new project will very likely be fully announced
Bandai Namco recently teased a brand new Tekken project they're working on at Evo 2022, but basically no information was shown.
They certainly left fans wanting to see more, and now we know the precise date the world will be fully introduced to the new era of Tekken.
Host Geoff Keighley announced today that the 9th annual show of The Game Awards is scheduled to take place on Thursday, December 8.

The Game Awards' social media accounts previously posted an image of the smug new Kazuya with the "GET READY" text, which implies to us and many others that a more substantial Tekken announcement will make an appearance at the event.
Since Bamco didn't want to share everything on the Evo stage, it makes sense that the company would want to have the largest gaming audience possible to see them break the news, and The Game Awards is the best place to do so unless they wait until the Summer for E3 or the Summer Games Fest.

As far as what the project itself actually is, we already made a longer story looking at the theories of the game being a remake / reboot of the classics, the obvious Tekken 8 or perhaps something different.
Considering Mortal Kombat 11 was also previously announced at The Game Awards, there's a decent chance NetherRealm Studios' next title will show up there this year as well.
The community will be eagerly counting the days until December to see what the future of Tekken holds.
