Looks like Capcom answered whether or not they plan on showcasing Luke at Tokyo Game Show

But that doesn't mean his chances have returned to zero

Last week, we delved into the chances of seeing any sort of Luke gameplay or showcase for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition at Tokyo Game Show 2021 since Capcom was more than vague about their presentation.

The developer has now publicly updated their TGS plans, which seems to give a fairly definitive answer as to whether or not SF5's final DLC will be making an appearance.

With Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak being announced during today's Nintendo Direct, Capcom updated the name of their stream to the Monster Hunter Spotlight.

They even listed the featured titles that are going to be making an appearance between Rise, Sunbreak and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin... and none of those are Street Fighter last I checked.

So the likelihood of Luke showing up to crash the party has dropped significantly now, but it's not zero.

Last year, SF5's developers did hold a presentation largely focusing on Dan for TGS though it wasn't included as part of Capcom's main showcase.

They also held back that information until two days beforehand.

Tokyo Game Show is around a week away now from starting up now, so there's still a chance though I probably wouldn't place any bets on it.

Even if Capcom has nothing to show for Street Fighter, TGS will still be a great place for fighting games considering The King of Fighters 15 is going to reveal a lot of what the title holds, and Guilty Gear Strive may have their next DLC character announcement too.
