Official competitive circuits have slowly gained traction for fighting games over the past decade, and it looks like Arc System Works is ready to head into their third year of running big events.

The developer announced ArcRevo 2021 will indeed be taking place starting next month with Guilty Gear Strive as the main and only title in the mix.

This latest incarnation of the ArcRevo circuit will be split among three different regions this time being North America, EMEA and Japan plus South Korea.

Europe and the Middle East are going to be the first ones up to bat with their qualifying tournaments beginning in October and the finals being held in February 2022.

Next up will be North America starting on December 11, and their finals is scheduled to take place on March 19, 2022.

ArcRevo Japan and Korea are the latest to the party, considering their qualifiers don't begin until February 2022.

Only the North American website is available at this time, so we can see there are five qualifiers between USA Central, Mexico, USA East, Canada and finally USA West.

The top two finishers for each event will then be invited to the finals where they'll battle for a slice of the $30,000 prize pool.

As is the case for most fighting game circuits this year, ArcRevo's qualifying tournaments are to be held online with the finals taking place in-person as long as the circumstances allow.

Despite still receiving support and being featured in ArcRevo Online 2020, Granblue Fantasy: Versus is not included in 2021's lineup though there's been no word as to why.

This will also be the first year ArcSys only runs one game for their circuit since 2019 had Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, BlazBlue Centralfiction and Under Night In-BIrth EXE: Late[st] while 2020 featured GBVS and BBTAG.

It's probably not all that surprising, however, considering most other fighting game circuits like the Capcom Pro Tour and the Mortal Kombat Pro Kompetition only focus on one title at a time.
