Spamming Reptar's fire breath special looks pretty damn strong in this Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl clip

Sorry, Spongeboy me Bob

Reptar is the Rugrats universe's version of Godzilla. He's a towering terror that causes destruction with every step, and he's totally awesome.

However, the Spongebob player in this Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl clip probably wasn't thinking the ferocious dinosaur was all that awesome while getting spammed by Reptar's fire breath special move. Watch as the scaly green monster uses the same special over and over again to put Spongebob in a terrible KO situation that certainly makes the move look incredibly powerful.

In response to a tweet that claims All-Star Brawl is the "mashiest game" the Twitter user has ever played — a comment referring to how highly offense oriented the title is at the moment — another user uploaded a clip that shows the beginning of a match between said Reptar and Spongebob.

Right out of the gate, Reptar runs in and lands a dash attack on the spongey combatant. Knocking him to the ledge, the reptile combos into down special, Flame Breath, and from there just... keeps doing the same move over and over again.

I can't blame the Reptar player for doing so as this attack seems to cover many of the options Spongebob had to attempt a recovery. The flame engulfs the ground and even hits below the stage, which keeps the opponent locked in the trap until he is ultimately juggled by the fire.

After one final pop up, Reptar is able to hit a powerful side smash and KO Spongebob just like that. It took all of seven in-game seconds and five Flame Breaths, and that was all she wrote for the first stock.

To be totally fair, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a brand new game and players are still taking the time to figure out how everything works and what the proper counters are — especially for tactics like this. That having been said, Reptar's Flame Breath as a ledge guard tool looks like it's really good so far, so if you come up against a Reptar player, definitely be careful when you're knocked off the stage.
