Notification for incoming 13.0.0 Sora patch for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate likely implies balance changes

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will welcome in its final DLC character next Monday as Sora from Kingdom Hearts will officially round out the game's massive roster, but fans potentially have additional reason to get excited for as Monday's patch will likely bring more with it.

A post today from Nintendo Versus reminds Nintendo users to look forward to October 18 for this Smash update, and also encourages players to save any replays they're particularly fond of before it hits.

We've seen this note about replays more than a few times before, and it virtually always pops up when developers fix certain kinds of gameplay bugs or make adjustments to Smash Ultimate's balance.

We can't officially say any roster members will be getting faster start up, less damage, or altered properties on certain moves, but a reading of the tea leaves in front of us makes us fairly confident that something of the sort is headed down the pike.

The last time Ultimate saw big balance tweaks was back in late June when Kazuya joined via the 12.0.0 update. This means we've gone a good three and a half months since things have been shaken up, and our money is on some changes for the game's newer characters like Kazuya or Pyra/Mythra.

Are there any balance adjustments you're hoping to see come to fruition on Monday? Have any particular characters come across as clearly over or under powered since June (or even before)? We'd love to hear what your Smash patch wish list looks like, as well as how excited you are for Sora, in the comments below.
