Banjo & Kazooie, Nigel Thornfieri, and actual voices in-game — here are some excellent Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl PC mods

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is definitely getting a lot of attention in the fighting game community right now for its gameplay, but the general consensus definitely seems to be that the new Smash Bros.-style platform fighter is lacking polish.

When a game has some glaring omissions, PC fans are quick to add things in, and there are already several mods going around that introduce interesting and much wanted facets such as voice acting, alternate costumes, and more. IGN has put together a video showcase featuring 11 of the best mods out there right now, and yes, Nigel Thornfieri is EXACTLY what you think it is.

The mods here focus mainly on alternate looks for the playable roster, which is understandable considering the game has only been out for a little over a week. Still, there are some really cool and, uh... strange ones to check out here.

While it doesn't quite match up in the best way, I can't help but respect the fact that one modder turned one of my favorite childhood cartoon duos, Ren and Stimpy, into one of my favorite video game duos of all time, Banjo & Kazooie. Ren does have a healthy sprinkling of nightmare fuel to him, but other than that, the mod itself looks pretty darn cool.

Another mod sees the eccentric and goofy Nigel Thornberry fused with the mayor of Flavor Town, Guy Fieri, to create Nigel Thornfieri. Why, you ask? I do not know. But Nigel Thornfieri is real and he can hurt you.

Of course, the loudest complaint I've heard about Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is its lack of voice acting for the fighters. The "Complete Basic Voice Pack Mod 1.0" brings in the highly requested voice acting by adding popular phrases and noises to each action — and it makes a world of difference.

There are more mods to check out than just the ones described above, so be sure to view IGN's video below to see them all.
