Remembering Street Fighter 5's 5 biggest blunders

It was just a few podcast entries back that we spoke about Street Fighter 4's five biggest blunders, and now it's time to hone in on Street Fighter 5.

Capcom's missteps when it comes to the current Street Fighter entry have certainly been documented both here on EventHubs and across the internet already, but now that we're likely through the worst of it all it's a good time to look back with more objective eyes.

Street Fighter 5 has had a total roller coaster of a life over the last five (approaching six now) years. We're currently riding perhaps the highest high we have yet, but Capcom most certainly took us through some dark and frustrating places en route to where we are now.

It's true for most fighting games that the vanilla version is laden with issues, and SF5 is no exception. There's a big difference, however, between having early bugs and oversights vs. launching a game that's only something like 70% finished.

Catalyst and I recall some of the more frustrating moments in SF5's life over the last few years, though we're sure to give credit where it's due and note when Capcom has shown clear efforts to fix former problems. That said, we have to wonder just how many players were lost and never returned to the game thanks to these five blunders.
