The Fall Update Stream and Luke showcase for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition has been officially announced for November 23. The stream will debut at 3 p.m. PST / 6 p.m. EST.

"Join us for the final #SFV digital event with a behind-the-scenes look at Season 5โ€™s final character, Luke," wrote the official Street Fighter Twitter account.

Luke, a newcomer to the Street Fighter series, is intended to be the final character for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition. Capcom has also stated before how Luke will have an important role in the future of the Street Fighter series.

"Street Fighter 5 has been developed to pay homage to the past, but Luke will give us a glimpse into the future," said Director Nakayama during the Super Update broadcast. "He will be expanding the world of Street Fighter."

"We feel strongly that Luke will be a great addition to the game, and that he has a bright future in the world of Street Fighter," added Producer Matsumoto.

Last we heard, Luke is slated for a November 2021 release. As such, we're expecting to learn about the exact date in which Luke will become available to download.

According to the Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition Season 5 Roadmap, we should also expect a new stage and 3 alternate costumes to release alongside Luke.

Although there were initial plans to release a balance patch along with Luke in Fall 2021, this update has been delayed until 2022 so that competitors will have enough time to practice for Capcom Cup 8.

"In the previously released 'Street Fighter 5 Season 5 Roadmap' a new Battle Balance Adjustment and the Capcom Pro Tour 2022 DLC were scheduled to release in Fall 2021," wrote Capcom in their announcement back in September. "However, with Capcom Cup 8 scheduled for Early 2022, this content will be moved to March 2022 to sync with that timeframe."

As of that last update, Luke was still slated for a November 2021 release. If this holds up, then the latest Luke can be released in November 30, 2021 โ€” a Tuesday.

However, it's wroth noting that Dan Hibki, Rose, Oro and Akira Kazama, the other Season 5 challengers, all released on Mondays. If Luke follows suit, then he'd have to release on November 29.

Ultimately though, we'll have to wait for more information pertaining to Luke when the Fall Update Stream goes live on November 23 over on the Capcom Fighters Twitch channel.
