Tekken Online Challenge 2021 to begin on June 1
Bandai Namco Esports has announced the Tekken Online Challenge 2021 that will begin on June 1, 2021. There will apparently be an online event for each of the 14 regions.
The Tekken Online Challenge 2021 will take place in North America, Central America, South America, West Europe, East Europe, West Africa, South Africa, Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Philippines & East Asia, Oceania, Korea and Japan. Details about the scheduling for the Tekken Online Challenge 2021 are currently unavailable on the Tekken World Tour website.
The Tekken Online Challenge is made up of 14 Online Master Events and 14 Regional Final Events. According to Bandai Namco Esports, we should be on the lookout for the first Masters Event starting in August.
What interesting is that the trailer seems to imply that some events could end up transitioning as an offline event rather than an online one.
"Masters and Regionals Finals Events may be held online or offline. To be determined at a later date and in compliance with local guidelines."
We were recently left with the impression that Bandai Namco could being counting down towards something to be announced this weekend. As of right now, it's unknown if this is the only thing that is to be announced for Tekken or Bandai Namco this weekend.
