Here is our prediction on when Rose will be releasing for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition based on the timing of the Spring Update stream
Earlier today, it was revealed that the Spring Update stream is scheduled to showcase upcoming content for Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition on April 6, 2021. New details about Rose and Oro are expected to be revealed during Capcom's broadcast.
During the Winter Update stream that debuted on February 11, 2021, we learned when Dan Hibiki would be made available as a playable character. As such, it's highly likely that Rose's release date will be revealed during the Spring Update stream.
We were informed that Dan would be released on February 22, 2021 during the Winter Update stream. This would be 11 days after the broadcast of that stream.
Based on this, Rose will probably become available within a similar timeframe. With this in mind, this seems to suggest that Rose will be released on April 17, 2021 — 11 days after the Spring Update stream.
However, April 17 is a Saturday. Looking back through Street Fighter 5's entire history of DLC, there's never once been a time where Capcom released a character on a Saturday.
Although Kage, E. Honda, Lucia, Poison and Gill all released on Sundays, their release dates were always revealed by Capcom as being "available now" or "available tonight" during a big event like EVO or Capcom Cup.
Being that there's nothing special happening on April 18 as far as Capcom events are concerned, this means that Rose probably won't be released on a Sunday either.
Based on the 11 day wait for Dan, it's looking like Rose will be announced for an April 16, a Friday, or April 19, a Monday.
Friday or Monday especially makes sense when considering what days the last two characters were released on — Dan was released on a Monday while Seth was released on a Friday.
Of course, it's entirely possible that Rose could be released on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, but it does seem like April 16 and April 19 are the likeliest possibilities right now.
Ultimately, we'll just have to wait for confirmation on the Spring Update stream coming on April 6, 2021.
