Yashiro's 'wild flair' was an important trait to retain in his King of Fighters 15 character model, says designer

Following the big reveal of King of Fighters 15's latest character, Yashiro Nanakse, the game's developers took some time to share out an official piece of artwork for the new fighter. In addition to this, more details about what went into Yashiro's character model this time around were released.

Character designer Tomohiro Nakata added a few liner notes to the art piece to further expand on what went into Yashiro's return to the stage. Apparently, a concerted effort was made to ensure that Yashiro's "wild flair" remained intact.

"I have to say, when I first saw the roster lineup for KOFXV, I was extremely happy to see Yashiro on there because so many people wanted to see him again," Nakata notes. "This time, his clothes have been redesigned. But, I was careful not to do anything to damage that wild flair he gives off. Even then, it took a lot of back and forth until we were satisfied with what we have now."

Yashiro's official reveal trailer certainly came jam packed with a lot of flair and pizzazz to it. From his large, powerful strikes with explosive effects emitting off of them to Yashiro casually doing one-handed handstand push ups, this character certainly has a propensity to show off.

This fighter's return is quite the spectacle, considering Yashiro hasn't been playable in a King of Fighters title since The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match. He first made his debut in The King of Fighters '97, and now he's back to wow those who play him and watch him fight.

At this point in time, King of Fighters 15 does not have a hammered down release date. We can expect to see it sometime this year, though.
