Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 12.0.0 patch notes released

Tekken's Kazuya Mishima is joining the icons of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tonight as the penultimate DLC character for the largest fighting game crossover, and he brought some bonus presents with him as well.

Nintendo has now released the full patch notes for Smash Ultimate's Version 12.0.0 update, which adds Kazuya's Challenger Pack 10, a new stage, Mii Fighter costumes and balance changes for a number of the cast.

There are only 13 characters who saw balance adjustments this time around for Pyra / Mythra, Steve, Min Min, Banjo-Kazooie, Bayonetta, Ryu, Mii Gunner, Mii Swordfighter, Mii Brawler, Rosalina, Olimar, Young Link and Marth.

Most of the changes here appear to be minor buffs for the cast listed above, especially for Marth, Bayo and the Mii Fighters whose improvements may be fairly significant.

Min Min's upward Smash and special have been hit with the nerf bat a bit while that previous additions from Xenoblade Chronicles are also touched up a bit.

Banjo-Kazooie

Up Tilt
• Extended launch distance.

Side Smash
• Extended launch distance.

Back Air
• Adjusted launch angle and maintained launch distance.

Bayonetta

Flurry Attack to KO
• Adjusted launch angle.
• Extended launch distance.

Down Smash Attack
• Increased attack speed.

Down Special
• Increased the amount of time the opponent gets slowed when used against a projectile.

Marth

Dash attack
• Increased power in the high-damage window.
• Extended launch distance in the high-damage window.
• Made it easier to hit in the high-damage window.

Up Tilt attack
• Increased power in the high-damage window.
• Extended launch distance in the high-damage window.
• Made it easier to hit in the high-damage window.

Down Tilt attack
• Made it easier to hit in the high-damage window.

Mii Brawler

Neutral Special 2
• Increased the attack range in the front.

Side Special 1
• Increased power.
• Extended launch distance.

Down Special 1
• Increased power against shields.
• Extended launch distance.

Mii Gunner

Neutral Special 2

Up Special 1
• Increased the amount of time for additional button inputs to continuously use attacks.

• Increased attack speed.

Down Special 3
• Extended the invincibility time.

Mii Swordfighter

Side Special 1
• Increased power.
• Extended launch distance.

Up Special 1
• Increased power of the last hit.
• Extended launch distance of the last hit.

Down Special 1
• Increased invincibility speed.
• Increased speed for the counter detection.
• Reduced vulnerability when the attack hits.

Down Special 3
• Increased attack speed.

Min Min

Up Smash
• Decreased attack speed.
• Decreased the speed of the reflect detection.
• Shortened launch distance.

Up Special
• Decreased the speed of the edge-grab range detection.

Olimar

Side Smash
• Increased the amount of time hit detection lasts for the high-damage window.

Pyra and Mythra

Neutral Attack 2 (Pyra)
• Extended the amount of time opponents will be in the damage animation when hit with the tip of the attack.

Side Smash Attack (Pyra)
• Reduced the detection for pushing opponents while charging.

Moving Air Dodge (Mythra)
• Shortened invincibility time.

Neutral Attack 2 (Mythra)
• Extended the amount of time opponents will be in the damage animation when hit with the tip of the attack.

Side Smash Attack (Mythra)
• Reduced the detection for pushing opponents while charging.

Neutral Special (Mythra)
• The launch distance of the last hit now changes depending on the opponent's weight.

Rosalina

Side Special
• Made it so Luma will be in front when using the move in reverse.

Ryu

Neutral Special
• Made it easier to hit multiple times when hitting an opponent on the ground with Shakunetsu Hadoken.

Steve

Side Special
• Adjusted the behavior to prevent certain situations where the opposing fighter would get hit by the minecart, become trapped, and then sometimes go through the landscape.

Young Link

Up Smash
• Made it easier to hit multiple times.
