From bonus damage to hidden super moves, here are 7 helpful secrets Guilty Gear Strive doesn't tell you

Guilty Gear has garnered a reputation for being a fighting game franchise that goes beyond to inform its players about the ins and outs of how to play, and while the brand new Guilty Gear Strive is no exception, there are a handful of helpful hints you won't find in training or tutorial modes.

Thanks to the diligent efforts from content creator Rooflemonger, you too can be privy to these tips and use them to get the edge on any and all competition that comes you way.

These tidbits offer little bonuses like added damage to your attacks for a short period of time or alternate ways to perform the exact same move. For instance, did you know that you can pull off Potemkin's command grab in two different ways on your controller?

Speaking of alternate approaches to attacks, at least one character has a hidden version of a Super attack that doesn't appear at all in their in-game move listings. Not only is this cool to find out, but makes us wonder what all else might be lurking beyond the established move arsenals.

Other tips involve nuances that can give you a slight but crucial edge in battle. If you've been noticing some opponents appear to somehow wind up slipping out of defensive situations more rapidly than you can, there's a reason why.

Give Rooflemonger's video below a watch and let us know in the comments if you already knew about any of these as well as if any of them were particularly interesting or helpful to you. Have you been enjoying Guilty Gear Strive since it was released to the world last Friday? We'd love to hear about it.
