No King of Fighters 15 character trailer tonight, next trailer to be revealed on June 23

With a few exceptions, SNK has held a recent tradition where they released a new King of Fighters 15 trailer every Wednesday. Unfortunately, it seems that this week will be one of those exceptions.

According to SNK on Twitter, there will be no King of Fighters 15 trailer tonight. Instead, the next trailer will be revealed on June 23, 2021 — next Wednesday.

SNK did not provide any reason as to why the next trailer is happening next week rather than this week. This typically happens because a Samurai Shodown trailer is being released instead, but this doesn't appear to be the case this time.

"The next King of Fighters 15 character trailer will be revealed on June 23rd (PDT)," said SNK on Twitter. Reveals like these tend to happen at 7:00 p.m. PT / 10:00 p.m. ET every Wednesday. "We hope you look forward to it."

In the previous week, Luong was revealed for King of Fighters 15. The week before Luong's reveal actually gave us the gameplay trailer for Amakusa in Samurai Shodown, which meant there was no King of Fighters 15 trailer to reveal for that week either.

Though King of Fighters 15 was originally intended to release sometime in 2021, SNK announced earlier this month that the game would be delayed until 2022. While we did not know exactly when King of Fighters 15 was originally supposed to be released, some fans theorized that there was going to be a new trailer nearly every Wednesday leading up to the game's release.

If this indeed was the case, then it would mean that there are now a few gaps in SNK's original reveal schedule as they probably wouldn't be able to stretch the reveals out until the new release date. Time will ultimately tell if this is actually the case.
