The fighting game community had been waiting all of E3 to see some sort of big reveal for the genre, and Nintendo certainly delivered on that this morning with the announcement that Kazuya Mishima will be the next character to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Following the trailer drop, Tekken series Director Katsuhiro Harada shared an awesome piece of artwork made by the Tekken Project team showing Kazuya holding Street Fighter's Ryu over a cliff while the rest of the Smash Bros. cast looks on with a funny and telling range of emotions.

This rematch of the Street Fighter X Tekken days ends with Ryu's limp body hanging over a cliffside with the only thing stopping his fall being the Mishima family successor holding him by the gi.

While that by itself would make for a great piece to hang on a wall, the reactions of the rest of the cast of the largest crossover in gaming history are just icing on the cake.

Some characters like Mario, Captain Falcon and Pit are actively trying to attack Kazuya to stop him while Min Min and Kirby are going for the save if he does drop.

What's funnier though is the shocked expression on Donkey Kong's face at the same time that Luigi and Pikachu are holding each other because they're scared.

Then there's Bowser who just seems to be loving every second of this as the only other villain around.

Nintendo has yet to announce when we'll actually get to play as Kazuya in Smash, but we'll find out about that in a few weeks with Masahiro Sakurai's presentation of the Tekken DLC on June 28.
