MDZ Jimmy engages in intense fireball war that's also somehow hilarious in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition

Grinding sessions in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition's online ranked mode can be pretty intense at times. At Ultimate Grand Master rank, you'll likely be running into some of the best players in the world as you try to level up.

MDZ Jimmy recently participated in a Ryu mirror match during one of his sessions. Despite rounds beginning with players within jump distance of one another, both players began the match by chucking one of Ryu's iconic fireballs at one another.

Again and again, this process would repeat itself. Though either player could've easily predicted the opponent's fireball and scored a jump in, both players persisted.

At this point, it was a matter of pride on who would emerge victorious in this intense fireball war. While the situation appeared to be comical, one look at MDZ Jimmy's facial expression showed just how serious he was about committing all the way โ€” which certainly adds to the hilarity.

Inevitably, performing the fireball motion will cause your character to micro-step forward with each projectile since the command ends on the forward direction. As the two chucked plasma at one another, they began inching closer to one another.

In total, 27 fireballs were thrown after about 19-20 seconds of gameplay. By the time the exchange was concluded, both players had built about half a bar of meter.

Who will win this epic battle? You'll have to check out the clip and video below to find out.
