Evo 2021 Online's full tournament lineup and schedule revealed, registration is now open
2 months before the competition begins
After cancelling for the first time since its inception last year, the Evolution Championship Series is looking to make a comeback though it's in a very different form at the moment.
The official organizers of Evo 2021 Online have revealed the full tournament schedule for the worldwide event's various titles and regions as well as opened up registration to allow everyone in on the action.
As was previously announced in March, there will be four main titles to enter for Evo's return with Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition, Tekken 7, Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate and Guilty Gear Strive.
Each tournament appears to be scheduled to start at 12 p.m. for regional local times in North America, Latin America, Asia and Europe.
Currently, all events are listed to begin on August 6 though that might still change in the near future considering Evo 2021 is scheduled to continue the next weekend as well, Aug 13โ16.
Guilty Gear Strive and MK11: Ultimate will only be available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game while Street Fighter 5 can be played across PlayStation or PC.
Tekken 7 is the only outlier that will be played exclusively on the Steam version.

Registration for these tournaments are all free and will last until July 15 though some titles like SF5 and Tekken are split up into sub-regions as well โ so look carefully when you go to sign up.
Evo 2021 claims it will be offering up over $75,000 in prize pools though no breakdown of how it's going to be split has been detailed.
This week, Sony also revealed the tie-in Evo Community Series' PlayStation 4 Tournaments, which will feature an extended selection of fighting game events in July including titles like Dragon Ball FighterZ, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, Skullgirls 2nd Encore, Soul Calibur 6 and others.
On top of that, Evo 2021 will also be running a special Them's Fightin' Herds tournament beginning July 23.
This year marks the first time the Evolution Championship Series is going to be ran by its new ownership / management, Sony and RTS.
The company acquired the largest fighting game major in March after the ousting of former organizer Joey "Mr. Wizard" Cuellar due to public allegations of sexual misconduct in 2020.
Evo 2021 is scheduled to take place Aug 6โ8 and 13โ16, and more information can be found on the event's Smash.gg registration pages.
