Ruffin Cosplay creates cute e-girl version of King, gets Tekken Director Katsuhiro Harada's attention

When you think of King from the Tekken series, you think of a large, musclebound wrestler wearing a jaguar's mask. What typically doesn't come to mind is "cute e-girl," but such is the beauty of cosplay where fans can harness the essence of their favorite characters and create them in their own image.

Ruffin Cosplay has gone ahead and put together the e-girl King look and shared some of the photos of it over on Twitter. Though we won't find a version of King that mirrors this anywhere in the game, Ruffin's cosplay did get the attention and recognition of Tekken Director Katsuhiro Harada.

"Iโ€™ll turn King into a cute e-girl, donโ€™t try to stop me!!!" wrote Ruffin about the cosplay on Twitter. The photos showcasing the getup came from photographer ___sixtus___, and the pieces of the outfit actually have an interesting tie to the fighting game community.

Apparently, both the pants and the tank top were designed by Mark "MarkMan" Julio, who has worked with Mad Catz, the Tekken team, and Evo over the years. The designs pay homage to one of King's alternate outfits, and Mark was able to get the Tekken Team's blessing to create the "Masked Fighter '97" line of clothes.

Ruffin's look goes for comfort, and instead of King's mask we see a wig with cool jaguar accents added to it. The hair was airbrushed and styled by her, and its colors and ears match the jaguar print lining of the joggers.

This slick cosplay and the idea of e-girl King grabbed the attention of Harada himself. The big Tekken boss retweeted the initial photo with some kind words attached.

Perhaps we'll one day see one of Tekken's younger female fighters receive a King alternate outfit. If so, we may be seeing where the idea came from today with Ruffin's cosplay.
