Dabuz releases Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 12.0.0 tier list

Tekken's own Kazuya Mishima has been in the hands of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players for a full month now. The character came right out of the gate looking very strong, and all this month we've seen him continuing to look like a real threat.

Now that we've had some time with Fighters Pass vol. 2's latest DLC character, pro players are starting to share their Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 12.0.0 tier lists. Today we have one such list from Liquid|Dabuz.

Dabuz's Smash Bros. tier chart organizes characters from "the absolute best in the game" to "should get some buffs." There are seven categories total, ranking all 83 of the game's combatants.

The top ranking category only finds three characters in its midst. Fighters Pass vol. 1 character Joker, Fighters Pass vol. 2's Sephiroth, and Pikachu all sit atop as the best in the business.

This isn't all that surprising as these three fighters have traditionally been considered very powerful throughout the game's lifespan.

What is interesting is Kazuya's placement, however. Even though the community has taken a liking to the Tekken warrior and he has what might be the best move in the game, Dabuz places Kazuya in the third category down, "upper high tier," sitting at 38th overall.

This placement isn't bad at all, but it is likely Kazuya's heavy focus on rushdown and wanting to be up close that keeps him from being higher up on the tier list.

Dabuz did note on Twitter that with the tier list now released, the one change he would make is to Palutena's placement. "Only change I would make is bumping up Palutena to Top Tier (but not putting her past anyone)," he writes.

The pro Smash player also explains that this list is indeed ordered by strength. With that having been said, Dabuz states that the order isn't meticulously thought out, so the gap between some characters might be closer than it seems here.
