The starter guide for the latest Guilty Gear Strive character, Goldlewis Dickinson, has been posted by Arc System Works. It cycles through the newcomer's attacks and maneuvers, and gives a general idea of how he'll function in game.

As you'll see in the video, this big bodied behemoth has a handful of unique and perhaps somewhat awkward inputs that are unlike most other characters we've seen in Strive thus far.

The very first special attack ArcSys showcases is called "Behemoth Typhoon" and has no fewer than eight ground and eight air variations to it. They all see him swing his massive coffin in various ways and all serve very different purposes.

Behemoth Typhoon maneuvers include fast and slow, overhead and low, and near and far attacks. Whether they're using or facing off against Goldlewis, players will become quite well acquainted with this 16-variation attack, no doubt.

That unique meter we saw in the reveal trailer is called Security Level, and increases over time. Some of Goldlewis' attacks, such as his minigun or drone projectile, are enhanced depending on how full the Security Level meter is.

As if the multifaceted Behemoth Typhoon weren't enough, the Cryptid collector has four other attacks each with three different variations. This means while he only technically has five special moves, he really boasts more like 28 for all intents and purposes.

Goldlewis is obviously large and seemingly a bit on the slower side, but with all these different moves it seems he'll surely have an answer for just about every situation players find themselves in. Check out the full showcase below and let us know what you think in the comments afterwards.

Strive's first DLC character will release on July 27 for season pass owners and on July 30 for everyone else.
