Another killer Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 mod brings Mega Man X into the fold with his own unique voice clips

The modding community has been doing wonderful things with Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as of late. What remains one of Capcom's most beloved fighting titles is still seeing support from fans nearly 10 years after its release, with new characters, skins, and mechanics being added to the game.

Modder and creator of an updated version of the game called "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 EX Edition," Game650, recently shared a video on Twitter that shows a preview of content expected in the next patch. Mega Man X is shown as a fully playable character, and he comes equipped with his own unique touches that help separate him from his robo-counterpart, Zero.

Mega Man X here in UMvC3 EX Edition differs from Zero in a variety of ways. For starters, his X Buster has been modified to be more accurate to the character when in Buster Mode.

The clip shows X's ability to shoot three quick fireballs in succession, two smaller blue ones and a larger green one that can make for a quick combo or be used for space control. The Buster can be charged to create larger projectiles or fire off a larger number of them.

X also comes equipped with a unique horizontal kick attack, as well as a lunge punch that can combo into each other and be used to extend sequences. Additionally, X has a separate Sword Mode that gives him access to sword techniques very similar to Zero, which includes the diving attack that works as an OTG.

To round out the character, Game650 even installed a custom voice into him to really help bring Mega Man X to life here.

In recent times, we've seen modders add a fully playable Ken to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 complete with his own set of moves. On top of that, a boss version of Shin Akuma became playable the same way, but while he gains a ton of additional strengths, he is also unable to call assists.
