The coronavirus pandemic shut down essentially every offline fighting game event in 2020 though its effects are still just as present today with the recent cancellation of Capcom Cup 2020.

In its stead now, Capcom has revealed the Capcom Pro Tour 2020 Season Final which is scheduled to bring in all of the regional winners and other qualified players for two days of intense Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition battles.

On top of the previous 20 confirmed players, four more invitees will take part to allow for 12 1v1 sets to be played within the regions.

The newly invited competitors joining the fray are Somniac in Australia, Vxbao of China, CJ Truth for eastern U.S., and NASR|Big Bird for the Middle East

Action will be split between February 20–21 starting at 4 p.m. PT each day in a series of prize fights though what's at stake in these individual match ups has not been revealed considering Capcom Cup was going to have at least $200,000 in its prize pool.

Streaming will take place on the Capcom Fighters channels on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook.

While it's not confirmed in the blog post, Dan Hibiki and the final season update for Street Fighter 5 are still more than likely going to be revealed sometime during the second day.

Capcom released a trailer for the CPT 2020 Season Final which you can check out below along with the title cards for the big matches coming our way in less than one month.
