Shin Akuma mod for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 inserts an insane boss character that can fly around the stage using Hurricane Kick
Recently, an awesome Ken mod for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was created by Tabs. As one might expect, Ken has quite a few variations to his moveset compared to Ryu.
It seems that Tabs has also created a mod that allows the player to play as Shin Akuma. Being that Akuma is already considered to be one of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3's strongest fighters, Shin Akuma might be super top tier thanks to some insane buffs to his kit. However, there is a bit of a caveat to using Shin Akuma.
When Shin Akuma is on point, assists cannot be called. In addition to this, Shin Akuma himself does not have an assist to work with. It's also not possible DHC (Delayed Hyper Combo) or TAC (Team Aerial Combo) into him.
To make up for these shortcomings, Shin Akuma has health that's equal to Thor's. This is a big deal as Thor has the highest amount of health in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 at 1,250,000. This is quite a step up from Akuma's 750,000.
By using the Hurricane Kick, Shin Akuma can move around the stage with the game's flight mechanic. However, this is flight with a constant hitbox attached to it. Upon ending the Hurricane Kick, Shin Akuma will perform a wall bounce kick that can be comboed off of.
Shin Akuma's new hyper causes energy to burst from the ground. The blasts appear to be inescapable as they encompass the entire screen. Getting hit by this hyper will shave off about a ton of health.
