An interesting game rating appears to have popped up on the South Korean ratings board (GRAC) that may tell of a classic crossover making its way to the Nintendo Switch.

A rating for "Ultimate Fighters SNK VS. CAPCOM (NS)" was spotted on the Game Rating and Registration Committee's website and seems to have been registered earlier this month. As NintendoLife reports, the title appears to be SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium and looks like it's headed to Nintendo's console/handheld hybrid.

SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium was originally released back in late 1999 on the NeoGeo Pocket Color handheld system. Players could choose between 26 different fighters, with representatives from both Capcom's IPs and of course, SNK's, being included.

This crossover allowed for solo 1v1 combat, two-person tag, or three-character teams (similar to King of Fighters). The visuals opted for more of a chibi style, with characters like Ryu, Chun-Li, and Terry appearing similar to the sprites found in other NeoGeo Pocket Color titles.

The GRAC's rating specifies that this game is a "Nintendo Switch fighting game featuring SNK and CAPCOM characters" (according to Google Translate). SNK vs. Capcom boasts an "Everyone 12 and up" rating here, with "minor violent expression" being cited as the reason for its grade.

With this listing popping up on the South Korean ratings board, it is likely that the title will soon see a release on the platform in that region. While there is no confirmation that SNK vs. Capcom on Switch will be released in North America, this activity does serve as an indicator that an eventual launch stateside might happen.

Several NeoGeo Pocket Color games have found a home on the Nintendo Switch in recent times as back in April 2020 we saw SNK Gals' Fighters released on the console as part of the NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection library. In August 2020, The King of Fighters R-2 and Samurai Shodown! 2 were added to said library, with each title being available digitally for a cool $7.99 USD.

Considering the fact that several of the handheld's games have seen a Nintendo Switch release over the last year or so, it is certainly plausible that SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium will follow suit as the next NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection title.

SNK has been actively been revealing content here in 2021 as King of Fighters 15 has officially be unveiled to the world and has been seeing consistent trailers each week for the past three weeks or so. It's possible that an official announcement for SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium could be dropping alongside one of the upcoming showcases.
