Here's why everyone is suddenly playing Android 21 in Dragon Ball FighterZ

Android 21 made a huge splash at the launch of Dragon Ball FighterZ as a character who was both high quality waifu material and uniquely developed specifically for the game, but the hype gradually died down when she was found by the majority of the community to be too weak to be called on for most teams.

FighterZ is now in its third season and thus has seen plenty of development in terms of both roster and character balance, and Android 21 has somewhat suddenly splashed her way to center stage yet again, this time for her competitive abilities. Why are pros like EG|SonicFox, EG|Dekillsage, Supernoon, and others often using her now? RathFGC may have the answers.

"That character is bonkers. 21 is a problem," says Rath in his introduction. "Everyone has kind of just realized this character is nuts, all at once. I want to go through the reasons why everyone is realizing it now."

Rath has some thoughtful explanations for all of his main points, but the short of the first major one is that Android 21 currently has what it takes to function as a viable anchor (final character) in team formation.

The content creator starts by laying out the fundamentals like why you need strong neutral, strong offense, and the ability to fight without the rest of your team backing you with assists and combo extensions, but then goes into the particular tools 21 has at her disposal... and they're damn scary.

Is the FighterZ community sleeping on (perhaps just waking up to) Android 21's abilities? Is she as big of a threat as Rath is getting at, and will we be seeing her more and more in competitive play as a result? Check out the video and let us know where you come down on those questions in the comments.
