Crazy corner carry, confirms into Spirit Bomb, and more... Super Baby 2 early footage roundup shows scary potential for Dragon Ball FighterZ newcomer

Don't let Baby put you in the corner...

Dragon Ball FighterZ's next character, Super Baby 2, is slated to launch tomorrow for FighterZ Pass 3 holders, but it appears some players from certain parts of the world (New Zealand and Japan, it seems) have already got their hands on the newcomer.

Already we're beginning to see some of what Baby can do, and honestly, it is a little intimidating. Not only are community members predicting that this body stealer will have exceptionally strong neutral, but he's also able to convert his hits into follow ups that both dole out massive damage and grant full screen corner carry.

We kick off this roundup with some footage that shows how Super Baby can fairly easily confirm into Base Goku's level 3 Super attack: the Spirit Bomb. As we'll be seeing again later, the fact that Baby's projectiles can boomerang back and hit his foe after a lengthy delay really open up combo potential.

Being able to access this big finisher with such ease might be a little too much (especially considering all of the other perks Baby is currently boasting) but we'll have to see how things play out once the bulk of the community is able to explore the new DLC character more thoroughly.

So we already know you're more than likely going to be taking some hefty damage when Baby finds the hit, but he can also use this opportunity to send you straight to the corner thanks to his 5H attack that horizontally launches opponents upon contact.

As shown below, he can cancel this attack with a tag in and the incoming team member will essentially follow the flying foe all the way to the opposite corner. As if this positioning weren't already a massive advantage, said incoming character can continue the combo once they meet their victim on the other side of the arena:

What kind of potential does Baby have once he's got you in the corner? So glad you asked. First off, he can link his beam into jumping L which makes for a nice little loop that can lead into plenty of other options depending on what the aggressor is feeling at the moment:

Remember those boomerang projectiles? They really help out when it comes to making corner loops easy. Baby can pepper them into his combo, then spike his foe down with what would usually be a sequence ending blow. The returning ki blasts zip back just in time to hit the victim and keep them in hit stun so Baby can then pick the combo right back up.

The character used in this demonstration, GT Goku, is very small relative the rest of the roster and so one might wonder whether or not the combo works on others. The same user included another quick clip showing this working on Captain Ginyu, so it seems to be quite versatile.

We expect to see a lot more from this enticing new fighter in the coming days and weeks. He'll be out to many tomorrow and the rest of the world this Friday, January 15.
