King of Fighters 15 official reveal trailer released, Cham-Cham and Hibiki Takane revealed for Samurai Shodown
After being delayed from it's original scheduled release this morning, SNK has dropped the official King of Fighters 15 trailer for the fighting game world to see. You can view it below after the jump.
Though fans were understandably disappointed to find they wouldn't be getting the trailer they hoped for quite yet, hope was encouraged as still images of the incoming KOF entry started to circulate on social media.
The trailer is an action packed, rapid fire presentation as Shun'ei, K', Leona, Mai, Kyo, and Benimaru toss out attacks and strike poses amid a few different fighting arenas.
Not only did we get the initial reveal for KOF15, but also commentary from Producer, Yasuyuki Oda, and Creative Director, Eisuke Ogura. As if that weren't enough, today's reveal also shed light on the identities of two more Season 3 Samurai Shodown characters: Cham-Cham and The Last Blade's Hibiki Takane (both of whom were predicted by our own, MajinTenshinhan).
The developers share that they plan to have the game out here in 2021, and that yet another trailer is slated for next week. We also are made privy to an interview with SamSho Director, Hayato Konya. Konya shares his excitement about the new characters, then tells us about a few updates to the game's battle system.
In addition to a rebalance for the entire roster, SamSho will now feature a new guard crush mechanic. Furthermore, it will no longer be possible for weapons to bounce off the stage and therefore out of characters' reach.
Though we get a full showcase for Cham-Cham, who is slated to release this March, we only get a still image for Hibiki Takane as she'll be further down the line. We've nabbed a handful of stills from the reveals that you can view in the gallery below while the entire video is embedded a bit further down.
