Granblue Fantasy: Versus is quickly approaching their one year anniversary since spin-off fighting game first launched, and it don't show signs of stopping anytime soon.

Series Director Tetsuya Fukuhara recently posted a special New Year's message which details all of the new content coming to GBVS over the next few months including Anre's trailer release date, plans for future balance patches, new RPG Mode content and when to expect the next DLC reveal.

Anre, who was first teased at the end of Yuel's trailer, is said to be receiving his debut gameplay trailer on January 22, and since he's scheduled to release before the end of the month, he'll probably hit the stage just a few days afterwards.

With Anre's launch comes a new balance patch that was made using the feedback from the previous one in December — so maybe more Belial nerfs incoming — though they note that the developers are aiming to adjust a few characters at a time going forward.

Fukuhara does not clarify, however, whether this will be doing away with large balance overhauls or if they'll try and do both through Season 2 and whatever lies beyond.

The next character DLC for Versus will be revealed in about two months from now, as the director also confirms that their trailer will be part of Granblue's seventh anniversary celebration stream in early March, which likely puts the fighter with a March launch window as well.

New content will be hitting Versus before then too considering chapters 46–50 of the main story for RPG Mode will be updated into the game before the end of February.

Also in February comes the second Battle Pass for the game which will offer new weapon skins and other rewards for premium users — $8 seems pretty steep for what you get — though all players will receive some goodies for playing.

There are two more characters left in the season after Anre, which is supposed to wrap before the start of summer. No plans for a third season have been revealed as of yet though it seems likely because of the way DLC has been handled in the game so far.

Arc System Works is admittedly very busy right now, however, with Guilty Gear Strive scheduled to release in April, Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 3 and now also the new Dungeon Fighter Online spin-off fighting game DNF Duel.
