Sephiroth and Pichu are best friends in this amazing fan victory animation for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The One-Winged Angel gave Pichu 'dis pear'

At December's end, we saw a creepy animation that depicted Animal Crossing's Isabelle performing Sephiroth's victory animation in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Sourcy has returned with another video that applies a fun twist to Sephiroth's victory animation that has him befriending an adorable Pichu.

Seemingly oblivious to the engulfing flames in the background, Pichu does not appear to feel endangered at the start of the victory animation. After about a second's delay, the infant Pokémon notices Sephiroth moving directly behind it. It seems that Sephiroth has a gift for Pichu.

Kneeling down, the One-Winged Angel can be seen patting the Pokémon on the head as he shows it a tasty pear — or rather "dis pear." Pichu gladly accepts the fruit that Sephiroth had acquired for his new friend.

Sephiroth then begins gently scratching Pichu on the head, which is clearly something that Pichu enjoys based on the thumping of its foot. Attempts at harming the young Pokémon in Sephiroth's presence would likely result badly for the offender.

You can hear the Final Fantasy 7 antagonist lightly laughing as this scene unfolds. Under normal circumstances, one might think that Sephiroth's laugh had sinister intentions behind it.

This animation gives the impression that the villain genuinely cares for his little friend. It seems that there might be some good in the One-Winged Angel after all. Maybe.
