Two Street Fighter players accidentally pull off the most perfect Ibuki bomb juggling sequence in the middle of a real match
THIS is how the new V-Skills were intended to be used
In Street Fighter 5, Ibuki's V-Trigger 1 sees her whip out a bomb with a lit fuse and toss it into the battle arena. She can strike this bomb before it explodes to maneuver it about, but so her can her opponent, and we've naturally seen some pretty stylish training mode juggle sequences as a result.
The clip we're sharing today includes a whopping 10 juggle bounces, but it actually happened in a real online bout between two Platinum-ranked players. What's more, both characters spend the entire juggling act positioned on opposite sides of the screen and never once touch the bomb with a physical punch or kick.
It was around this time a full year ago that secondary V-Skills were added into Street Fighter 5, and both Necalli and Ibuki wound up getting somewhat similar techniques as they both toss out hazards foes have to be mindful of while the fight continues.
Ibuki can throw stationary caltrops that trip opponents up while Necalli vomits up a sludge that slowly creeps forward and crumples any foes it comes in contact with.
It's through the use of these two relatively new V-Skills that we get a full screen bomb juggle that both participants had to be simultaneously amazed by and proud to have contributed to. The war rages before and after, but for a good six seconds or so, the battle stops and everyone simply watches the entertainment.
It may not be some next level beat down or insane mix up, but how many times has something like this happened in the middle of a legit match? You can check it out for yourself via the embed here:
