As of the writing of this article, more than 160,000 members of the Super Smash Bros. community have taken to social media to make it as widely known as possible that they'd like to see Nairoby "Nairo" Quezada back and streaming on Twitch.

The 24 year old Smasher has been out of the scene and off Twitch since July of last year when allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor were made against him. Last Friday, Nairo made a return to the public spotlight via a short video in which he updated fans on his personal journey over the last seven months and noted that he was "ready to move forward."

Nairo's sponsor, NRG eSports, severed ties with him after the allegations hit, and Twitch banned him from streaming shortly after that. Here now a week after Nairo's update video, #UnBanNairo has started trending on Twitter as its been used more than 167,000 times by members of the Super Smash Bros. community.

Major figures in the scene have expressed their support here as the likes of T1|MkLeo (the top Smash Ultimate player on the planet), Liquid|Hungrybox (perhaps the greatest Melee competitor of all time), and notable content creator and player PG|ESAM are among the numerous who have lent their voices to the cause.

Some of those in favor of Nairo's return have pointed to a compilation of social media evidence that reportedly offers further details on the happenings that got him banned, claiming said evidence paints Nairo as innocent and the actual victim of the situation.

Rod "Slasher" Breslau, one of the top eSports journalists in the business, reached directly out to Twitch today to see if they had any response. It seems they've only given a "no comment" comment.
