Expected the first week of March

Street Fighter 5's Ver.6.001 title update went live late Sunday night and opened up the doors to the start of Season 5's content. Along with DLC character Dan, new balance changes, a new stage, and a new mechanic came several in-game bugs that have been causing unintended behavior and interactions for players.

Capcom has announced that another patch is en route and will be aiming to fix several of the issues we've been seeing this week with Season 5. This update is expected within the first week of March.

"The following issues have been confirmed since the Ver.6.001 title update released on Feb. 22, 2021," Capcom's post on the Shadaloo CRI website starts. "We are currently investigating the issues and will provide updates on any confirmed plans for fixes as soon as we can. Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the game."

Among the fixes being made in the next patch we find that the reported sound change will be reverted. Here in Season 5, sounds in matches would play as "Mono" even when "Stereo" was selected, which made the game unplayable for blind gamers.

Additionally, Necalli's V-Trigger 1 was found to be the source of some desync issues when fighting opponents online. When the V-Trigger became active, some players were finding that their match would become disjointed and two different outcomes would occur for the competitors. John "Velociraptor" Guerrero and I actually experienced this issue firsthand.

Newcomer Dan also has a strange bug tied to his jumping light punch that saw him teleport back to the ground when struck during the latter portion of the move. We'll be seeing a fix for this as well, and also a correction to the distance traveled during Chun-Li and Juri's V-Shift.

You can check out the full set of patch notes below.

• Sound effects in matches playback in 'Mono' sound even if the sound option selected is set for 'Stereo.' →This is scheduled to be fixed in the first week of March

• When using Necalli's V-Trigger I "Torrent of Power" during an online match, some matches may experience a communication de-sync. →This is scheduled to be fixed in the first week of March

• Chun-Li and Juri's V-Shift cause them to move back farther than expected. → This is scheduled to be fixed in the first week of March

• Hitting Dan during the second half of his Jumping LP jump arc will ground him. → This is scheduled to be fixed in the first week of March

• Some dojo objects are not displayed. → This is scheduled to be fixed in the first week of March

• [For Steam Players] Using the F12 screenshot function during gameplay will cause the game client to forcefully close. → This is scheduled to be fixed in the first week of March However, we can confirm that you can still take a screenshot by setting the Steam screenshot key to something other than F12.

We apologize for any inconvenience at this time. Thank you for your patience, and we appreciate your continued support.
