It's been a good six months since Sony's last State of Play showcased a bunch of exciting new content en route for PlayStation users, and we're ramping up for the presentation of yet another State of Play today.

We'll be tuning into PlayStation's live stream at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET for today's show where we know we'll see new updates, deep dives for 10 games coming to both PlayStation 4 and 5, and some new game announcements.

Sony is sure to mention in its announcements for the SOP that there won't be any PlayStation hardware or business-focused updates in this show. It's not to say fans weren't happy to learn about PS5 specs in past presentations, but there's definitely an expectation of ample software showcasing for these kinds of events.

Today's broadcast is expected to run for about 30 minutes, and though we don't have much of an idea as to what's coming down the pike, we are holding out for the possibility that at least one fighting game update or new title will be shown.

We did find one small hint in the YouTube video description, however, and that's the all of the titles in today's show range in rating from RP-T. Suffice it to say we're not holding our breath for any Mortal Kombat news today, but there's still a ton of potential for other fighters.
