Faust player devises plan to blow up opponent with bombs but it hilariously backfires in Guilty Gear Strive beta match

If used recklessly, Faust in Guilty Gear Strive can effectively defeat himself as he can generate bombs that, upon exploding, have friendly fire properties.

Shin Paulo recently uploaded a clip that had his Potemkin winning a round against a Faust that basically blew himself up.

In the corner with very little life to spare, the Faust player opted to summon a bunch of bombs. As Potemkin was a full screen's distance away, he was able to do this quite safely.

Of course, the bombs weren't much of a threat to Potemkin where they were summoned. To make them more threatening, Faust then proceeded to strike the bombs so that they'd bounce towards Potemkin.

However, Shin Paulo was able to perfectly read what was happening here. Before the bombs even touched the ground, Potemkin struck the bombs and sent them back where they came from.

Hilariously, Faust did not react to this situation quickly enough and was caught by the resulting explosions.
