A face the Super Smash Bros. community has not seen in a good many months popped back into the public eye today as Nairoby "Nairo" Quezada released a video message announcing his hopes to return to both streaming and playing.

Quezada made an exit from the competitive Smash scene in July of last year following allegations of sexual acts with a minor. He notes that that's all been dealt with, legally speaking, and that he's ready to move forward.

"Everything is fully resolved," Quezada states in the video, "and I am now able to move forward with my life." The 24 year old Zero Suit Samus whiz elaborates on some of the major happenings that have ushered him toward getting back in the ring, so to speak.

He notes that on the eve of his 24th birthday last year in November, he was invited to a Discord channel wherein a number of his fans (Naifus) had gathered to articulate the numerous ways in which his contributions as a professional player and regular streamer had helped, entertained, and inspired them.

Quezada shortly thereafter received a scrapbook filled with photos he had taken with fans during his travels to tournaments over the years as well as messages echoing similar sentiments to those that were shared in the live Discord discussion.

As a result of this inspiration, he is aiming to begin playing and streaming once again. Twitch issued a lifetime ban following the allegations in July, but Nairo has made an appeal and is waiting to hear back from the massive streaming platform.
