How intensely and in what ways will V-Shift evolve Street Fighter 5's gameplay? Plus the good and the bad of Guilty Gear Strive's latest beta

There's a major update coming to Street Fighter 5 next Monday as Season 5 kicks off, and now that we've had nearly a week to rewatch and consider the V-Shift footage we saw during the Winter Update, the team here has a few excited, confused, and concerned speculations when it comes to this brand new mechanic.

Two of us here at EventHubs, DreamKing and MajinTenshinhan, got to spend some time with the Guilty Gear Strive beta already, and they both join this week's broadcast to talk about their experiences with it.

The mostly positive feedback we've been hearing across fighting game social media about Guilty Gear Strive's second beta is confirmed by these two, though they both have their gripes about the game and are hoping things will be changed by the time it hits shelves in April.

When it comes to Street Fighter 5's new V-Shift, there are so many variables that it's hard to really hammer down predictions with much certainty, but we're using both the footage that we've seen and our gut intuitions to speculate.

From the flow of gameplay, to the affect on different types of characters, to an increase in neutral play, and more, we go back and forth on what we think might happen. While the team does appear to be excited overall, there's a good bit of caution mixed in as we definitely see some scenarios where V-Shift could take things a little too far.
