Arc System Works really gave Leo a dunking command grab in Guilty Gear Strive to make blocking him even scarier than it already was before

He pretty much retains everything else too

Anyone who's fought against a strong Leo player in Guilty Gear Xrd probably still wakes up sweating at night about which way to try and block the wild beast of a king, and the developers are apparently doubling down on that part of his gameplay.

Arc System Works have now released the starter guide for Leo Whitefang as he'll appear in Guilty Gear Strive, and they seemingly made his back turn stance even better than it was in the previous game.

Unlike Ramlethal, who had pretty much everyone of her specials changed in Strive, Leo remains largely the same in his moveset with his multi-hitting fireball, invincible reversal and more at his disposal.

The biggest difference appears to be that his Kaltes Gestöber Erst rekka attacks have been split into their own specials while receiving the new Turbulenz ground explosion special over his Siegesparade from Xrd.

None of that really matters as much though as Leo's Glanzendes Dunkel command grab that he can use in his Brynhildr Stance, so now his opponents will need to guess which way to block and if a big ol' throw is coming to quite literally dunk them.

We'll soon see in the beta if Leo fares any better at trying to get in on the enemy, but if / when he does, good luck out there to those staring at his back.
