Frustrated by Baby's annoying B assist? Here are 3 ways to deal with tracking assists in Dragon Ball FighterZ

With how fast-paced and high flying Dragon Ball FighterZ action tends to be, having an attack that does the dirty work for you and tracks an opponent can feel pretty overpowered. The game's newest character, Super Baby, has an assist that does just this, and it's been ruffling some feathers as players try to find effective ways of countering it.

Those in this group are very lucky to have RathFGC on the case as he's put together a video breaking down ways to beat Baby's specific maneuver as well as how to deal with tracking assists in general and up ultimately up your DBFZ game.

Homing moves that fly in from up above the field of vision have long had (and very much still have, just ask Mortal Kombat 11 Sheeva users) an air of cheapness about them. As such, it's no surprise that Baby's B-assist, which sees him rapidly come crashing down from above wherever the opponent is at, is feeling problematic.

First off, the maneuver does have a decent amount of start up as Baby comes in and crouches for a short time before leaping up. You can hit him while he's here and potentially score a nice Happy Birthday (attack two characters at the same time) if opponents are being too cavalier with their usage. You can also anti-air Baby on his descent, but this is risky as the main opponent can use this opportunity as an in.

Rath goes on to further put this attack (and others like it) under the microscope to unveil weaknesses. The simple fact that assists have cool down periods after they're used needs to be in the forefront of your mind while playing as this gives you a ton of valuable information in terms of what your opponent is and isn't capable of at any given point.

Sometimes you'll be able to evade even tracking assists, but when you can't, what's the next level you can go to in order to gain advantage? Have you considered where on the screen you block them? Do you know which of your attacks fare the best as direct counters to the assists that give you the most trouble?

Check out the video below as Rath offers up both direct and general tips to help you level your DBFZ game up when it comes do dealing with pesky homing attacks.
