Fans of Dragon Ball FighterZ received quite the welcome present today with the surprise announcement that Android 21 (Lab Coat) will be joining the game as a playable character after most had thought there would be no more new content.

Now we already seem to know when they're going to show off more of Android 21, as Bandai Namco also revealed the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour is returning in early 2022 with the promise of DBFZ being present at the event.

The second Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour is scheduled to take place over two days this time between February 18–19, 2022.

According to the event's website, it will also serve as the venue for the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Championship where the 16 top players from around the globe are set to come together once again and battle it out to crown a new champion.

Unless she receives her own special showcase, we can expect to likely see at least a standard gameplay trailer for the regular humanoid form of Android 21 at some point during or after the championship finals.

Bandai Namco is also bringing back the Dragon Ball Games Online Arena where users can create their own avatar and watch the event with other viewers at the world tournament stage.

If there are any more plans to add content to Dragon Ball FighterZ beyond the new Android 21, the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour is also the best chance to make more announcements though obviously nothing is confirmed at this time.

A schedule for the digital Dragon Ball event will be released in the coming months.
