Senior couple that attended CEO as participants get live news segment on ABC
It was quite a surprise to see the senior couple, Craig 'Arachis' Kvien and Kim 'Tinker' Cutchins, attend CEO 2021 as their first major fighting game tournament. Although they didn't win the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament that was happening, they ended up learning a lot about how to run their own tournament which is scheduled for next year.
ABC apparently caught wind of this event and ran a story segment on it live. The segment was titled as "older couple wows crowd in video game tournament."
As highlighted by Alex Jebailey, the live broadcast was quite short as it was only about 38 seconds long. ABC also didn't really go into specific details about the senior couple's attendance at CEO, but it was still cool to see on television nonetheless.
It is noted in the news highlight how the crowd booed opponents whenever Arachis or Tinker were up on stage. Arachis is also shown fist bumping other entrants after his match was finished with.
Southeast Mayhem, the tournament being hosted by Arachis and Tinker, is scheduled to take place February 4-6, 2021. This event will be held at UGA-Tifton Campus Conference Center at Tifton, Georgia.
