Jebailey appears to be teasing some sort of trailer reveal at the end of CEO 2021

Don't leave after they crown the Strive champion

CEO 2021 is proving to be everything we've wanted and missed with big fighting game majors by bringing back the bombastic atmosphere as well as players and titles from every corner of the scene to make it feel like a whole community again — and it appears there's still more to give.

Founder of CEO Alex Jebailey looks to be teasing some sort of announcement coming at the end of the event, but what it's for though is currently a mystery.

Jebailey posted an image of himself holding a USB drive with "A trailer" written on it with marker along with the following tweet.

"I wonder what could be on this usb drive…," wrote Jebailey on Twitter. "Any guesses? Stay tuned til the end of our #CEO2021 finals stream on http://twitch.tv/ceogaming. Hope everyone is enjoying day 3 so far! Thank you so much for supporting @CEOGaming's return."

That means we'll likely need to wait until the Guilty Gear Strive grand final wraps up, and considering top 8 is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. PDT, this should happen around 6:30–7 p.m. PDT / 9:30–10 p.m. EDT.

The contents of that drive is pretty much anyone's guess at this point since it's unknown if the trailer is going to be for a game or event.

Given the circumstances, more news on the future of CEO could be the most likely to show up.

Staff previously confirmed that CEO 2022 is planned for June, but perhaps they'll provide more solid dates and details for the return of CEOtaku.

If the announcement is for a game, Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7, Dragon Ball FighterZ and Mortal Kombat 11 can be safely crossed off the list since they all seem to be content complete now as far as new characters go.

Even though the trailer will be coming after Guilty Gear Strive top 8, it likely won't be for that game either since Happy Chaos just dropped as DLC this past week.

Skullgirls already released their teaser for Black Dahlia today, so that isn't it either.

As for games that still have new content to show, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid could premiere Rita Repulsa's gameplay since she is scheduled to release at some point this month.

Something like Dungeon Fighter Duel is also on the table although the Dungeon Fighter Online property is much more popular in other places around the world than it is in North America.

There is some speculation floating around that it could be related to All Elite Wrestling as well since they've worked with CEO in the past for events and are allowing players to use their entrance music this weekend.

So what do you think we'll be seeing later tonight? Let us know in the comments below.
