Here's a visual guide of patch 1.09 for Guilty Gear Strive by Rooflemonger

Version 1.09 of Guilty Gear Strive was launched to make Jack-O a playable character for those that purchased her as DLC. This patch also introduced Guilty Gear Strive's first major balance update.

Reading a bunch of text to figure out everything that's change is nice, but sometimes is also good to be able to see the changes in action. As such, Rooflemonger has whipped up a visual guide that showcases everything that was changed in version 1.09 of the game.

Before the latest patch, it was universally accepted that Sol Badguy was the best character in the game. This character had access to some crazy options that were simply unavailable to the rest of the roster.

Unsurprisingly, the patch did take a few steps to tone Sol Badguy down. However, Arc System Works didn't want to just gut Sol as they did provide him with a few buffs. For example, he's now able to perform a Roman Cancel after his back throw.

Characters like Anji Mito and I-No seem to have benefited from some improvements. We could see these two characters go up a few tiers as a result.
