Update: Bandai Namco has confirmed that patch notes will indeed be talked about during the Dragon Ball FighterZ Show along with an Esports announcement and show matches. Viewers will want to tune in at 12:00 p.m. PDT / 3:00 p.m. EDT on August 9, 2021 to get the scoop on what will change in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Earlier: Bandai Namco Esports has posted that the Dragon Ball FighterZ Show will be returning on August 9, 2021. The stream will begin at 12:00 p.m. PDT / 3:00 p.m. EDT that day.

According to Tomoko Hiroki, Producer of Dragon Ball FighterZ, there are plans for a new balance patch in August. As such, this seems like a likely time for additional details to be revealed concerning this upcoming update.

"We are also planning to release a new update in the middle of August this year," said Hiroki back then. "As for the contents of this update, not only will we be balancing the characters, but we will be making adjustments to the overall battle to allow more dynamic attacks and defense, such as enabling aerial guard cancel changes, so we hope you will look forward to this update as well."

Based on what Hiroki said in her message, the developers might be looking to add some new defensive options to mitigate the overwhelming offense that's currently possible in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Much to the dismay of players that wish to keep playing the game online, we probably shouldn't expect rollback netcode to suddenly be implemented into the game.

"As mentioned in my previous message video, it's currently difficult for us to improve the netcode, but we would like to do our best to provide a place where everyone can have fun and fight as much as possible, so we hope everyone will join us," said Hiroki.

We haven't received any news regarding a possible Season 4 after the release of SS4 Gogeta of FighterZ Pass 3 back in March 2021. As things stand, there are now 43 characters playable in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Considering this, we don't know if there will be any more DLC characters for Dragon Ball FighterZ, but it feels like the door is closing on that possibility.

It's also worth mentioning that it was Bandai Namco Esports on Twitter that released info about this stream rather than the official Twitter account for Bandai Namco US.

At this point, it can't be confirmed if this stream is going to talk about the balance patch at all, but it seems like it would be a good opportunity to do so around this time. After all, this balance patch is slated to be released later this month.

The Dragon Ball FighterZ Show has been used in the past to talk about upcoming characters and would often give us a sneak peek at the balance adjustments before they were officially posted on the Dragon Ball FighterZ website. As such, it'd probably be worth tuning in if you're excited for the upcoming update.
