Rose's brand new Critical Art looks like it came straight out of Dragon Ball Z

Final Aura Flash!

Today served as probably the most exciting day for Street Fighter fans in a long time with Capcom showcasing Rose, Oro and Akira during the Spring Update stream, but there's definitely a lot of details placed within that were easy to overlook.

Perhaps chief among them was Rose's new Critical Art that was shown off at the very end of her gameplay matches, and it looks like she straight up pulled it out after watching too much Dragon Ball Z.

Since Soul Satellite and Soul Illusion were transformed into a V-Skill and V-Trigger respectively, Capcom essentially took her old Aura Soul Spark Super and cranked it up to like 12.

Instead of just a boring, more powerful projectile, Rose will now launch her opponent into the air and follow them up with her classic Soul Throw move.

After tossing them back down to the ground, she charges up all of her soul energy into a giant beam though we don't get to see the ending animation since it landed as finishing blow.

It's certainly a visual upgrade from all of the fortune teller's previous super moves, which have traditionally been very strong but also simple in terms of design.

The way she charges up her aura and points out her arms, however, shares a striking resemblance to many of the big ki blasts from Dragon Ball — more specifically Final Flash with a dash of Masenko.

We don't yet have confirmation as to what the Critical Art will be called, but it sounds like Rose shouts out Great Aura Spark during the final beam — don't hold me to that though. I also don't think we'll have to worry about her blowing up any planets with the attack either.
